Cosmic Creature AI 'Fuu' Receives Children's Honest Feelings — Conversations Are Secret, But Their State Reaches Parents. AI Dialogue Service for Kids, Launching Today
A safe place for children to speak freely — cosmic pig-like creature 'fuu' gently listens to your child. Conversations are never shown to parents — only 'signals' are delivered. A new kind of child wellbeing service.

Hogsio LLC (HQ: Fuchu City, Tokyo; CEO: Yuko Nakamura) has launched 'Fuu Family,' an AI dialogue service for children, in May 2026. This is a sister service to 'fuuspace,' the AI partnership support for couples launching the same day. Children struggling with bullying or friendship issues at school can chat one-on-one with fuu's child — a pig-like cosmic creature. Conversation contents are never disclosed to anyone including parents; instead, only AI-assessed emotional 'signals' (blue, yellow, red) and brief summaries reach the parent.
When Kids Feel They 'Can't Tell Their Parents'
Something bad happened at school. Friends ignored them. There are mornings they don't want to go to class.
At times like these, children don't always tell their parents. 'I don't want to worry them,' 'I can't find the right words,' 'It'll become a big deal if I say something' — for their own reasons, kids swallow their true feelings.
'If only there were a safe place for children to speak honestly.' 'If only we could know our child's state without intruding.' — From both parents' and children's wishes, Fuu Family was born.
Who Is fuu — A Cosmic 'Friend'
fuu is a cosmic creature from a distant star that looks like a pig. However, the fuu in Fuu Family is fuu's child.
It's different from an adult 'listening to you.' For children, the psychological barrier between confiding in an adult versus talking to a friend their age is completely different. fuu isn't a 'teacher' or 'counselor' — it's a friend at the child's eye level.
'Oh really~, that must have been tough,' 'I get it~' — gentle, casual, speaking in a way that makes children feel safe, first receiving their feelings. Without pushing solutions, it gently helps children organize their own emotions.
Design Philosophy 1: Conversations Are the Child's Secret
Fuu Family's most important design rule is that conversation contents between the child and fuu are never disclosed to anyone, including parents.
The moment a child thinks 'my parents might see this,' they can no longer speak honestly. Fuu Family blocks parent access at the API level, and even our staff cannot view the contents.
What a child tells fuu stays between the child and fuu. That's why they can talk about anything without worry.
Design Philosophy 2: Only 'Signals' Reach the Parent
So how do parents learn about their child's state?
fuu reads the child's psychological state from conversation contents and delivers it to parents as three-level 'signals.'
- Blue (Doing Well): Everyday conversation. No particular concerns.
- Yellow (Slightly Concerning): Signs of friendship troubles or anxiety. Includes a brief AI summary.
- Red (Needs Attention): Suggestions of bullying or distress. Includes a brief AI summary.
Summaries never directly quote the child's words. They convey only the state, like 'Your child seems to be struggling with friendship issues.' What was said and what words were used remain completely unknown.
Along with signals, guidance on what the parent should do next is displayed. For yellow: 'Try speaking gently. Just letting them know you're there is enough.' For red: professional consultation resources are provided.
Design Philosophy 3: In Crisis, Connect to Outside Adults
fuu is AI. It's not a professional. That's precisely why, when it detects a serious situation, fuu gently introduces public consultation resources to the child within the conversation — 'There are places like this too~' — in a friend's tone, naturally.
When a red signal is detected, an immediate notification is sent to the parent's email address, including a list of consultation resources, eliminating the delay of 'not noticing until opening the dashboard.'
Issues related to children's safety go beyond bullying and school troubles. Fuu Family implements multi-layered safety design anticipating various situations — mechanisms that control signal recipients and content based on circumstances, pathways for children to access external consultation resources on their own, all built on the premise that 'AI alone should never be the endpoint.'
Fuu Family is not an emergency reporting system, but it aims to be a bridge ensuring children's voices reach the right places.
Relationship with fuuspace
Fuu Family shares the same worldview as 'fuuspace,' the couple-oriented service launching the same day.
In fuuspace, the adult fuu talks with each partner, never relaying words directly, delivering biological insights indirectly. In Fuu Family, fuu's child talks with the child, never showing conversation contents to parents, delivering signals indirectly.
'Secret dialogue and indirect delivery' — this shared design philosophy has been implemented for both couple and parent-child relationships. In child-rearing households, combining fuuspace and Fuu Family creates an environment where every family member can talk with fuu.
Target Users
Parents of children from upper elementary to middle school age, and the children themselves. This isn't a service you start using after problems arise. By starting while your child is doing well, daily conversations become a baseline, making it easier to notice small signs and changes early.
Everything works from one parent's smartphone, with one parent account supporting multiple children registered with separate PIN codes.

CEO Comment — Yuko Nakamura, Hogsio LLC
Children's wellbeing is a major social issue and an extremely challenging domain. Changes are happening little by little inside children's hearts. School refusal doesn't happen suddenly one day — small feelings of discomfort and anxiety accumulate over a long time.
But children don't have the same ability to verbalize as adults. They can't articulate what's happening inside them. And unlike adults, they can't change their environment or distance themselves. Trapped with no escape, holding emotions they can't put into words, fighting alone — that's the reality for many children.
We built Fuu Family to be there from that 'pre-verbal stage.' fuu is just AI, not a professional, so it doesn't commit to solutions. But as a child's friend, it first receives their feelings with 'Oh really~, that must have been tough.' Just being able to put feelings into words can bring some relief. We want children to experience that.
And for parents, rather than peeking into conversations, we deliver only the child's state through 'signals.' Even a child wanting to 'talk to Fuu' might itself be a small signal. Protecting children's privacy while giving parents the opportunity to catch signs, weaving the parent-child relationship — balancing privacy and peace of mind is what this service aims for.
