A 'Roaming Relaxation Service' from Your Phone — Certified Practitioners, Right Where You Are. Relaxation Matching App 'Katatataki' Launching Today
Ease shoulder and arm tension on the spot. Like Uber, find nearby practitioners on a map and get relief in a safe public space, from just 10 minutes. Only practitioners who have cleared credential checks, identity verification, and background screening are active — a new form of relaxation.

Hogsio LLC (HQ: Fuchu City, Tokyo; CEO: Yuko Nakamura) has launched 'Katatataki,' a relaxation practitioner matching service, in June 2026. To answer the small everyday wish of 'I want my shoulders eased, right here, right now,' it connects roaming practitioners with people suffering from shoulder and arm fatigue in real time on a map. Every practitioner has completed credential and license verification, photo-based identity verification, and background screening. This is not a medical service — it is strictly limited to relaxation.
That Stiffness — Not Quite Worth Booking an Appointment
Between desk work, after a long commute, during an event or a wait — you feel heaviness in your shoulders, neck, or arms, but it's not quite worth booking and traveling to a clinic. Yet wouldn't it be nice to ease it a little, right here?
Streets once had a culture of figures who'd appear out of nowhere to warm up the moment — like wandering minstrels of old. Katatataki brings that feeling to relaxation. Instead of commuting to a fixed shop, have someone come to where you are. A 10-minute gap is enough.
'Relief, right where you are' — Katatataki was born to untangle that everyday stiffness with technology.
Find on a Map, Summon on the Spot
It's simple to use. Practitioners currently active nearby appear as pins on the app's map. Compare ratings, distance, price, and specialty (shoulders & neck / arms & hands / full-body relief), pick the one you like, choose a duration (10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes) and a location, and just tap 'Summon.'
You can track the practitioner approaching on the map in real time, check their ETA, and exchange brief messages. When the session ends, payment is settled automatically in-app — no need to take out your wallet on the spot.
Pricing is approachable, starting at ¥1,000 for 15 minutes. After each session, a two-way review keeps service quality and safety high.
Design Philosophy 1: Eliminate 'You Don't Know Who'll Show Up'
Summoning a stranger to your location naturally brings anxiety. What Katatataki prioritized most was eliminating that anxiety through design.
Every practitioner passes multiple screening stages: verification of credentials/certificates (such as licensed anma massage shiatsu therapist, seitai therapist, or relaxation certifications), identity verification (KYC) via driver's license or My Number card, and background screening by name. For identity verification, the practitioner takes a live three-angle capture (front, right, left) on the spot with a timestamp burned in, preventing 'document reuse' and impersonation.
Practitioners who clear screening display 'Credential Verified' and 'Identity Verified' badges in the app, so users can confirm exactly who is coming before summoning them. And peace of mind isn't only for the practitioner's side: we also ask users to complete identity verification — a mutual KYC so both parties can confirm who they're about to meet. If two people aren't a good match, either the user or the practitioner can block the other, and no further matching occurs.
Design Philosophy 2: Free to Choose the Place, Safety Through Guidelines
The location isn't a shop — it's chosen freely by the user and practitioner. A park bench, a rest area in a commercial facility, a corner of the office — being able to get relief 'where you are' is what makes this service special.
At the same time, location safety matters greatly. Katatataki presents location guidelines in the booking flow, such as 'choose a bright, well-trafficked spot' and 'avoid enclosed or secluded places.' And because managing your belongings and valuables during a session is your own responsibility, we remind you of this again on the booking screen and in the pre-session guidance.
Choosing the location and confirming permission with facility managers are the user's and practitioner's own responsibility, and we cannot guarantee perfect safety. That is exactly why Katatataki invests most in the design of the entry point — making sure you only ever meet someone you can trust — rather than in on-the-spot features.
This Is Relaxation, Not a Medical Service
Katatataki is a service for relaxation that soothes body and mind. It is not a medical service that provides treatment, diagnosis, or medical advice. This is made explicit on every screen and throughout the booking flow.
Practitioners holding the national qualification (licensed anma massage shiatsu therapist) may indicate so, but the service as a whole is offered as 'relief' and 'relaxation.' If you have any health concerns, please consult a physician in advance.
Target Users
The main audience is people accumulating fatigue in their shoulders, neck, and arms from desk or standing work, and those who want to refresh while out or between events. It answers the need of 'not quite worth visiting a clinic, but I'd like a little relief right here, right now.'
It also becomes a new way to work for relaxation practitioners and seitai therapists who want to make use of their skills in their spare time.

CEO Comment — Yuko Nakamura, Hogsio LLC
Shoulder stiffness is a 'small stiffness' that so many people carry as a matter of course. Precisely because it's so ordinary, it gets put off — not quite worth the time and money to address. Yet that small heaviness steadily chips away at a day's focus and mood.
We built Katatataki to answer, on the spot, that suspended wish of 'not quite worth booking, but I want relief now.' It's a 'roaming relaxation service' — an experience that's a little nostalgic and a little new.
At the same time, we faced head-on the anxiety of summoning — and being summoned by — a stranger. Credential verification, identity verification, background screening, and the mutual identity verification and blocking we also ask of users — we've layered in every design we can so you can summon, and work, with peace of mind. Ease and reassurance. We'll keep refining that balance.
